Tea tree oil is a volatile essential oil distilled from the Melaleuca Alternifolia plant found in Australia. In recent decades, its popularity has grown in other areas of the world as an alternative and complementary treatment. Today, tea tree oil is commonly found in cosmetics, topical medicines, and household products.
Suitable for adults and at low concentrations for children over 3 years old. For children, half of the dose.

Aroma: Potent; a fresh, warm, faintly herbaceous aroma with an aromatic-spicy note.
Attributes: Cleansing, purifying, renewing.
How to use: Dilute in a base oil to apply onto skin, for steam breathing, in baths, aroma lamps and diffusers. Try also in dish water or in cleaning water!
Tips: Tea tree is effective in curbing cough irritation. Mix about 4 drops of tea tree oil with a small amount of base oil and massage onto chest and upper back.
How to Use Essential Oils?
Massage: Dosage for adult body massage, 5-8 drops per 30ml carrier oil (eg. sesame, sunflower, almond, coconut oil..). For children use half of the dosage. (Note that all of the essential oils are not suitable for children.)
In aromatherapy massage essential oils are mixed with carrier oils such as sesame or sunflower oil. Each essential oil has its own effect, they can be relaxing, invigorating, mood uplifting etc. Essential oils are chosen by their effects.
Bath: Dosage for adults 6-10 drops per bath tub. For children use half of the dosage.(Note that all of the essential oils are not suitable for children.)
Bath with essential oils is a great way to utilize aromatherapy. Warm water enhances the absorption of the active components while the bath itself relaxes.
To help the essential oils mix with water, mix them first with a small amount of shower gel, shampoo or cream and then add to bath water. Add essential oils only after the bath is full, to prevent excess evaporation.
Diffuser: Essential oils have effect on emotions especially through their scents. With essential oils one can relieve tension, depression, anger and other negative feelings and also increase good mood and happiness.
Fill up the diffuser with water and add 5-10 drops of essential oil depending on the size of the room and on the strength of the oil chosen.
Sauna scent: 2-3 drops per 500ml water.
Laundry: Get fresh scent to your laundry by adding a few drops of essential oil. Mix the oil with water, vinegar or unscented softener and add to the fabric softener dispenser tray in your washing machine. You can also use essential oils with soap nuts. Add a few drops in the soap nut bag.
Essential oils and pregnancy: Use only mild oils like orange, mandarin, sandalwood, lemon or grapefruit. Use only half of the adults dosage. The limitations are not valid in scent use (eg.diffuser).
